Ivermectin or Ivomec its what we use for heartworm prevention when given orally. But when injected under the skin it clears up mange. We buy it at any local feed store here in the states.

Use Ivomec as this will clear mange. You can get hold of it at any farm supplies or off the internet for about £35 for 200ml, for a terrier only use 0.8ml infection once a week for 3 weeks and you sh

I dipped all my dogs in sheep dip this year, i know alot of boys that do it. they swear by it for preventing it.

sheep dip is brilliant, ive got a collie as well as terriers so its handy for me, if the dog keeps scratching/chewing at the bald spots after the mange has cleared put petroleum jelly on the bald/itchy spots daily, it helps it heal a bit quicker

Advocate or Stronghold, hibiscrub etc is the way to go. Like Mr D says, if you're not 100% confident about dosing with Ivermectin don't do it. It's dangerous stuff.

i dont know much about mange, but one of our dogs we had a while go had it and we bought camrosa cream, shampoo treatment. clean the dog off with it, put the cream on and it is great, if it doesnt work the first time try it again, it worked first time for us.

With respect, have you tried it?

I've had to treat an elderly kelpie with one of the worst cases of mange that I've seen on a dog. Treated her with clean engine oil broken down with just enough diesel to make it rub through the coat (what's left of it) Within 3-4 days of the first treatment, the redness had gone out of her skin and after another two treatments over the subsequent 10 days the irritated areas scabbed over and healed normally. Next year the thickness and health of her coat was remarkable for an old dog. No recurrence.

As far as "sheep dip" is concerned, it may pay to check exactly which product is being used. Different products use different active ingredients and different carriers, so what may work in on brand may not be what is in another. Just be careful, is all..
