young pup advice

hey guys got myself a pup and need some advice on it as ive never had this before happen to me, i have 5 month old 1/4 collie 1/4 deerhound 1/2 hound pup and she perfect except when shes out with the other dogs she playfully opens up the odd time when running after the other dogs should i put this down to puppy playfulness or should i be worried for her lamping career

its just her getting excited and being a pup mate she should grow out of it

thats it what you called frustration barking ,cause he/she wants 2 get the other dogs and the same applies when entered 2 early on rabbits when are capable of not catching them yet and hard slips

what's a good age to put them on rabbits i've got a 12 week old pup will she be somewhere near ready for the season ?

iv had couple of collie types over the years,not that im saying this is the reason for them barking,just the ones i had were very vocal when growing up,more so than any others iv had,soon grow out of it mate was nothing to worry about,iv never had a yapper yet

My saluki x barks when playing with the others in the garden but doesn't make a sound when out working.

Yeah - would agree wth that mate. My 8 1/2 month old 3/4 collie grey has an odd bark when he's running with my mate's dog. Seen this before in collie xs too. Nothing to worry about.

id say bedlington is the worst x for this never heard a collie x yap yet. My pup does the sands when running with the big dogs but i aint worried as she will NOT be entered to early

a wouldnt suggest this season with a pup of that age a have a ten week old pup just going to do abit ferreting with him

My last lurcher was a deerhound gsd mix and was very vocal as a pup and at play but absolutely silent at work, day or night once she got to the 1yr - 18 month mark. I don't think it's that simple to predict early on what they'll be like, my inlaws have a very pricey english pointer you can't take out any where as she is simply too noisy!
