a dogge de bordeoux, are often known for dehydration thats one of there biggest threats so why it would be put into a hunting dog, i kno the orginal ones brought down horses but there all big and fat nowww

someone i know had an old greyhound and a dogue that had an accidental litter apparently they all got given to a dogs home at 15 weeks because nobody wanted them as usuall for breeds that are a bit out of the ordinary.

i think his one was the only one that was homed. from what i hear the parents arent very well looked after but at least his is looked after and leads a good life on the farm.

well one thing people dont talk about is brain's you can get from bull terries'. Staffs +pits are very clever dogs,. Ive had both colliexs and bullxs as ive said before on other posts. And to be honest regards training, both were very easy to train, easy to train with stock. The bullxs were a bit more stubborn, ok but colliexs can be robotic which can be as bad  .Alot of pits in the USA, are used for lots of jobs on Ranches (hunting, vermin control, guarding stock, and cart dog carrying heavy objects. So there is alot of attributes on offer , (if) the dogs were not banned in this country. I had pit bitch in the 80s and she was very clever, she was like our old type staffs we had as kids plenty of grey matter  In the black country there still some good old type staffs about, put to a greyhound these would make good lurchers, if thats what you mean above

Indeed. My bullx bitch can open doors from both sides. She loves to just sit in the garden all day watching. When I look at her I am sure I can see her thinking. She was by far the easiest dog I have ever trained once I got past the stubborness. My bullx dog is a complete retard though. Its takes him 10x as long to learn anything then he seems to forget it the next day.

I very recently admited on another thread that i didnt no much bout lurchers but i like to think bullies hav been more my thing. Iv seen another cross whats really rare work, a massive first cross Dogo Argentino x grey it does everything and is clever too just ridiculouslly illegal. Its sire is the only dogo iv ever seen in our country. A pure apbt from proper stock not paki or chav divs is impossible to beat though imho! Atb Wally
