lol so is that true then cause i always thought it was bull, if u didn't hit it you can take it

yeah it is true thats why i always clean the blood off the van and try to pull out the dints laugh.gif

 

So technically if I hit one then I could phone a mate or the wife to come collect it?

Not really . It is an offence to remove a carcase(or indeed anything from anyone's land ) without authority. In the case of a road casualty deer permission would in theory be required from the local council or Highways Authority.

In real life -certainly in my part of the world and unofficially of course- the Highways Dept consider it a bit of a result if a corpse of something quite large goes missing or is dragged into nearby woods onto someone elses land because it saves the expense of having the body incinerated .

 

Foxes and smaller stuff tend to be left to rot in the gutter as they don't comprise such a traffic hazard or smell as much as a dead deer.

When the car in front of her killed a fallow buck my 'ex' persuaded a policeman who attended the scene to load it into the back of her car ! .
