Malt 379
Just reading that Chelsea have fired Carlo Ancelotti. The bloke won Chelsea's first ever double in his first season, and still it's not enough. It's because of things like this I hope the Chavs never win the champions league. It's like the holy grail to Abramovich, and unlike the Premier league, it's not simply something that can be won by turning up and throwing vast sums of money about the place. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13494528.stm On another note, I read somewhere this morning that he'd consider the West Ham job should he be sacked from Chelsea. He'd be a great manager for them IMO.

martin 332
As a Chelsea fan of some 47yrs(ups and downs)I agree with a lot of what has been said, and I don't know who will be in next.I only hope that they manage to tempt Gus Hiddink back, and let Zola work with him with a view to take over at some point. Martin(Chelsea & Ancelotti fan)

Martin(Chelsea & Ancelotti fan) Martin, I've got time for the real Chelsea fans like yourself. I always used to like Chelsea in the pre Abramovich days when Zola was in his prime. Must be quite difficult for a fan such as yourself. On one hand you're not going to be daft enough to turn your nose up at the thought of a mega rich owner pouring millions into the club, and on the other you just wish he'd do it with a bit of class! Chelsea were flying before Abramovich started his meddling mid season and fired Wilkins. They had carried on like the left off the season before and looked very much the team to beat. Add to this his mid season £50 million purchase of Torres, and then Ancelloti's feeble attempts to shoehorn him into a system that he couldn't adapt to at a crucial time of the season.... Who do you reckon will replace him? I can't see many available managers out there who have Ancelotti's credentials..
gnasher16 30,594
Martin, I've got time for the real Chelsea fans Whats a real Chelsea fan then ?....Chelsea fans dont come from London its all hooray henrys within 3 miles of the ground and even the real ones live in Surrey !....Chelsea are a mid table club at best so if they want to sell themself out as a hobby to a foreign billionaire then tough shit you have to take what comes with it,be his lapdog and do as he says. I reckon Marco van Basten will be favourite for the foremans job. Edited May 23, 2011 by gnasher16

Like yourself, a fan of a club who supports it through thick and thin.
