baldockbanks courser 598
purdeys practice is all well and good if you keep collie or kelpie xs. A saluki x is a diffrent matter all together. there clever but hunt for there selfs. herding dogs just want to please and a 5 year old will train them to sit and retreive. be realistic what you can acheive with your dog and value her for what she is. when you say your dog had no stamina when you got it, but it has now ? you can not give your dog stamina buy exercise its got it or it hasnt all walking will do is condition a dog. by the way them dogs from purdeys practice were obideint but looked like long legged fat terreirs. your saluki cross should look and be an athletic lurcher and if you get a steady and sharp one youv hit the jack pot, I know what type I prefur. poyner111 5
She wasn't in good shape when i got her.....she may have had the stamina there but was very under worked...spent quite some time locked in a shed!! after getting her on a better diet .....getting a little meat on her bones she is doing very well. for me she is a great dog regardless of catching or not ......but i can see how much she likes to run at game.....she comes alive so i would just like to see her take one every now and then? I have no great ambition with her as i got her late.....netherless.....would still like a dog that haddles well....and does or at least tries to do what its made for i plan on getting a pup latter on in the year so would like the basics to help bring that on. Moll. 1,770
i plan on getting a pup latter on in the year so would like the basics to help bring that on. Would advise you have done all you can dow ith your bitch first before getting a pup. One or the other will end up on the back burner. Plus a pup with a disobedient adult...nightmare and the quickest way to teach it bad habbits.....funny how they always pick up bed habits the easiest
