pure saluki as a first time dog?

looking to get my first dog for my 16th birthday and was woundering weather a pure saluki is a good choice as i like them, i would mostly be hunting long ears. many thanks

I wouldnt have 1 as a 5th or 6th time dog nevermind a 1st time dog but then again i hate the snipey arrogant potlicking b*****ds so i may be biased

Not criticising pure salukis I have seen some good x,s but a pure saluki for your first dog imo isn,t a good choice, may end up another wasted dog because of inexperience, I would suggest something more responsive

well understand what you say ,, but why is it that the only people that comolain about price is the folk that dont own them ,, .plenty of folk do own them and dont complain about price , , its so much . take it or leave it . but remember like other dogs quite a few do get gifted.

point understood riohog ,but for your first dog it will a expensive first dog ,i don,t a pure or a x but i know people who do and are exellent dogs ,my point was for your first dog it might be best going for lurcher x lurcher bred as they inabundents and can pick up for pennys amd then when he more experince then go and get the dog of your dreams
