jamiew 11
your dog just needs more time, just work on the basics,i was once told by a good source the longer you wait the better the dog,i usually find 18 months is usually about right atb jamiew
Hannah4181 260
It sounds like your dog is too young (mentally) . . . let it be a pup and loon around like an idiot for a while before you start it working. Take it ferreting but if its mucking about, tether him and let him watch. 9 months is a funny age anyway, you'll do more harm than good by trying to encourage work too early. Work on the training element more . . recall, jumping, sit, stay, heel, stock breaking . . . . take him out round towns, in cars, around kids, crowds, etc etc . . . let him mature and steady up a bit before you try working in the proper sense.

fcuktheban 140
You were already given proper advice that your not taking, better it be a pet than be pushed too hard too soon. If you needed a dog working now you should have bought an older dog. Why are you working a young pup in the summer?
