markha 99
Sorry to hear that, been there also, atleast you knew what was wrong and can then remedy it ready for the next time. Could have well been that there were foxes about and thats why it was quiet? I know your guns are new, however, make sure you take the stock off and give all the metal work a good wipe down plus the wood, then when its all dried out reassemble. Best of luck with oyur next session. Mark Quote Link to post

pianoman 3,587
Blimey Peter, it can't be as bad as this surely? Mark could have a valid point. There's a lot of Foxes about with so many kitts at this time of year. Or the poor weather may mean they prefer another area to feed when it's raining, maybe closer to their warrens or, within the sheltering woodland. The rabbits on my permission are never found at their usual hot-spots in the rainfall. The close range misses. Next time you go out in poor, rainy weather, fit a sunshade to your scope if it has one.... And before some bloody joker jumps up. Fitting the sunshade shelters the lens! It keeps rainwater out from getting onto the objective lens and creating false-range focus by blurring and fogging. All you need is a tissue to keep the occular lens dry. All the best mate. millsy44 72
The day was a total write off lads, fair enough its the first time ive used the new Air Ranger/MTC Viper set up, but i spent 30 mins zeroing and was doing ok, easily shooting well enough to take rabbits at the ranges i was missing them. Never saw any foxes or signs of them, rabbits were everywhere at dusk and i mean everywhere..............them boooshh.............nothing, suppose there could of been a fox or 2 kicking about but theres no way they were everywhere on the permission, its just to big. And the viper has a massive sunshade on simon Real head scratcher for me yesterday :nea: Edited May 21, 2011 by millsy44 Quote Link to post

Bit of ribbing going on, but I do feel sorry for him. Nothing worse than looking forward to something, then finding your not happy with it. Hopefully be sorted at the range.....if he can drag it there Bill. Quote Link to post
