Any help greatly appreciated , Buster Buster ,i think you would be better off just buying a couple ,then adding to them as you get better at the job,i find that some people who start off by using a lot of traps ,or snares ,soon get sick of it because they fail to catch much,i think the reasoning behind this is,the more you set, the more you get,this is true but you have to walk, before you run,if you are just setting a couple,you can remember, exactly what you did ,and why you did it. Im after fenn traps for rabbits , lots of the buggers . Im into getting the hang of it as soon as possible , because it may lead onto bigger things . If it goes well it may give me access to lots and lots of land , so this is why im after a few to get started . A lesson might be in order if i can wangle it , dont mind on one of my permissions , im not after a free mooch with anyone on their land , just a bit of knowledge .Buster Quote Link to post
salukiwhippet 6 Posted May 20, 2011 Report Share Posted May 20, 2011 You'll be wanting 6's then. Make sure you buy good quality ones, some of the cheap copies are at best illegal, at worst inhumane. Fenn, Springer, and Solway are three of the specifically approved ones. There may well be others. It's pretty simple to do, harder to do well. Im out with the Fenns on Sunday, I'll try to get some decent piccies and do a walk-through. If you get down here at all, I could take you out for a demo. James Quote Link to post
