pianoman 3,587
Westlakes' a pile of cheap horrible shite mate. Tin cans and paper in the back garden are fine but against fur and feather, you'll need to up as close as possible or chances are you will miss or, if you hit anywhere, it will likely be a wounding shot and that's not sporting. If you are going to shoot something to kill an animal with, you need accuracy and proper power to get a successful headshot at distance. Get a good and proper .22 spring rifle like a BSA, Webley, Air Arms springer .22 Weihrauch HW80, HW77 HW95, HW99S, HW98 spring rifle; or HW90 Gas ram. Plenty of these around for good second hand bargain money and they'll do the job as long as you do yours. You might not take it seriously but, your quarry certainly does! Pianoman. Quote Link to post
millsy44 72
Agree with pianoman, i had one years ago and there was literally 4 inches difference from where one shot went and the next, impossible to be accurate with it, even from a vice it was throwing pellets everywhere, save up for abit and get a nice 2nd hand bsa lightning, or something similar, should pick one up for £100 or so, itll be worth it mate then if you really want to get into shooting, step up and get a Weihrauch etc etc or switch to p.c.p's Atb peter Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Not often Simon and I agree about cheap rifles, but a B2 is balls squared! They are not a good rifle, I soeak from experience I owned one. But I got it as a cheap way back into the sport for back yard paper and tin can shooting. It was challenging as you never knew where the next shot was going. What produced a bullseye with one shot would result in missing the target completely on the next. Cheap as chips I know, but damn all use for shooting anything! Quote Link to post
