An elderly couple by me have an old fell terrier, it has the same scars as mentioned in the article.

 

I regularly meet them on the my local park and we chat about their dog as she is the same type as mine, they were told when the adopted her that she had been taken of people found guitly of digging brock down south. So they do get rehomed but well out of the area.

Exactly,the dog could have ran to ground while been excercised and some little child out there might be missing a much loved pet (speculation -but whats good for the goose...)..Any stray terrier with a mark or two on it must have been used in badger baiting-followed by a load of shite..ffs they dont even seem to need evidence anymore to go printing their crap.
