I have been going to Dog Shows all over the country for the best part of forty years, and the tradition and policy is you NEVER get local Judges to judge a Show. Obviously with this Club being relatively new, and not having any members of the Older Generation to ask their advice, there are a lot of pitfalls. You only get what you pay for. I have never been to this Show and Never will on principle, they masquerade under the name of the Aberconwy Working Dog and Ferret Club, it is a joke. Rabbiting and ferreting is not real HUNTING. How many go out with Hounds during the Season, how many hunt animals that actually bite back, I do not think there are many. This is why they have not got the respect and following of genuine HUNTING FOLK. End of rant.

 the name might be a clue ABERCONWY WORKING DOG AND FERRET CLUB , ARE THEY HUNTING FOLK , few are , but as seen as we are under the trades dicription act ARE your whippets wonders or is that just a name you go by , there club has members who are kids and starting them out with ferrets etc is the tradition may lead on to bigger things as we are hurling shit who do you hunt with :whistling: you only get what you pay for :icon_eek: ITS A FOOOOOOKING TERRIER SHOW MATE A FUND RAISING EVENT GET A LIFE ,

I can appreciate a lot that you say, and no not all my dogs are wonders. I don't think anybody's are. My name is another thing,it was given me by my daughter,as you can appreciate there are lots of people within the hunting community that use Whippets The thing is, you do have to raise the bar, so that the standard of judging in the local area does get better. Now I always contact the Show Organiser to ask who is judging the relevant Classes to save wasting time and fuel. I am not going to get into a confrontation regarding who I hunt with because this will escalate into something else.I will say no more on this subject. If this has upset you, I do apologise, but I can only speak the truth.

you have not upset me take more than this , but your answer speaks volumes , you only go to shows were you know of the judge , and if the show aint a show run by people that hunt things that bite back you dont go ,the truth is terrier and lurcher shows are run by commited people for no personal gain in many cases they end up putting money in, the case for the judge on the day is brought into qestion because he is known in the area his capabilty to judge terriers is not an issue mick is well known and respected in the hunting communty , and as it happens turned up at short notice to help , every one can not win every one has there own opinions , without the likes of the aba lads there would be far fewer shows about give them the support they derserve mr wonder all the best GTE
