Tomm Parr 30
ive just or should i say had got 3 hens given for my 7 year old son and permission of same chap to keep on his field in 6/4 garden shed we went down to day and 2 hens gone feathers all over and third bird had no head ive put a cat trap type cage with the body of hen in and hope we get it my son devastated will get him couple more when fox is dead or gone ps it will be humanely put down if caught Hello Clucky, I don't know what is going on with this thread, it seems to have gone of a bit of a tangent like my Grandad when he talks about his War service. Anyway, back to the original point... You can deter the foxes in your garden/field by a number of methods: You can piss and shit (seriously - they are scared of humans remember) around the edges (or soak rags to last longer) of the garden; Soak rags in Renardine and leave around the perimeter of the garden; Leave regular and easlily accessible high fat food for them in another area.... (all they want is an easy meal remember); Have a kennel outside with the dog access to the garden; Get a pest control chap to kill them (won't last forever though as another shall likely appear a month later) But the best of all.... a 6 feet high weld-mesh fence. Ideation 8,216
Yer, gave a load of abuse as well, everyone thought he was a teenager, until they read his post looking for land and realized he was in his 30's! Spends a lot of his time telling folk that they are stupid, which is rather ironic. And all this knowledge of running dogs has been learnt since jan/feb when he got one off here for free at 2 yrs old. Quote Link to post
