runem 533 Posted May 17, 2011 Report Share Posted May 17, 2011 no need to be heavy handed,if dog is young enough and not been entered it is fairly easy,just walk close and through all livestock regularly completely ignore them if the dog shows any interest just a sharp pull on its lead should do,dont do anymore,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if the dogs older and been entered or already been chasing livestock,YOUR ON YOUR OWN.this method has always worked for me and my dogs are saluki saturated. come on then lads whats the best method bearing in mind its 1/4 collie and 1/4 saluki and it,s 6 monthes so could be a bit sensitive to being too heavy handed on her thanks millybot Quote Link to post Share on other sites
