anyone ever used this saw??? i got one today, its been stood for a few years but is very clean for its age!!! i got it to fire once with choke but couldnt get it to run :no: any tips anyone?? :thumbs:

f*****g big saw for someone who doesn't do much with saws!! :icon_eek:

 

does it have good compression?

:laugh: actually i use them quite alot mate have a least 4-5 tree jobs a month :thumbs: im only thinking of putting a 36 inch bar on it tho that will be plenty big enough for me. the compression is spot on :thumbs: like i said it fired up the once but couldnt get it run after that :thumbs:

Yeah take it back where you got it from you ain't gonna be that lucky to have 2 chainsaws that work for free lol

don,t if will work but you can try dopeing it ,take the spark plug and pore petrol down the head might work use 2 work with my moterbikes

if its been sitting for a while then theres a good chance you'll need to clean the carbs out. the 2 stroke mix will go jelly like through time.

how do i do that??? it was stored empty tho :thumbs:

sorry just assumed you didnt as couldn't get it runing. i can assume youve done all the run of mill things then. ie clean filters/carb, checked rings. check on the back of the carb, there will be a black pipe ensure it hasent perished and is connected with no air holes.if not i would strip it bit by bit from there and check seals very carefully, even a small crack will effect.

sorry just assumed you didnt as couldn't get it runing. i can assume youve done all the run of mill things then. ie clean filters/carb, checked rings. check on the back of the carb, there will be a black pipe ensure it hasent perished and is connected with no air holes.if not i would strip it bit by bit from there and check seals very carefully, even a small crack will effect.

yeah i no wat your saying mate :thumbs: ive cleaned the filters but not the carb how do i go about that??? my mate normally services all my power tools i can do all the basics but he is time served in that deparment so looks like ill be handing it over to him :laugh: thanks for the advice tho :victory:

take it off and clean the jets and floats mate there easy dont go mad tightenin the jets back in very thin needle for the jets good wash with petrol
