the moff 0 Posted June 13, 2011 Report Share Posted June 13, 2011 hi my dog pup is 5 months old would you say that is 2 young 2 be taking him out and tieing him up abit back from the entrance while my bitch works what do pepole think he loves going in empty earths and digging his way through them just thort id ask apinouins i realy dont want 2 ruwin him in any way let the dog be a pup 9or10month old take him out and by then he should be doing cart wheels he nows wat a hole is now let him stue chhers mate i havnt brought many pups on you see just could do with abit of help the little f****r dose back flips alredy he's keen iam gona leve him till he's at lest 15 months befor he go's 2 ground on his own like Quote Link to post

dev 226 Posted June 16, 2011 Report Share Posted June 16, 2011 personally i like to give them about 1 dig a month in their first season.some might start in september and end the season with 6 or 7 digs but i have a young dog here now who only started at christmass and only had 3 digs. there are not hard and fast rules. i dont agree with digging a hard pup too often in his first season to "make him bark" io think you more likely to make him quite. 1 Quote Link to post
