Atb cbx Can't believe you think that, I know of alot of deer dogs preban that find fox easy but yet I see alot of fox dogs used for teeth and rabbits who havnt done much deer ,get one big kick off a stag and be seriously hurt and never even look at a deer again. Remember deer when they turn on your dog can be fatal. One head butt like they do when they rut it's all over even with a head on a bull x never heard of a adult dog being killed by a fox tho. rabbitracer 4 Posted May 23, 2011 Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 (edited) I think it very much depends on the amount of wheaton in the dog , obviously litter mates can turn out very differently but i like the wheaton x determination and hardiness. C.H's dog mac is an awesome machine and second to none at what he is bred for but not my cup of tea for the abundance of local quarry we have , there is such a wide variety in the wheaton x range its hard to put them all in the same catagory , i dare say its a similar sitiuation with bull x breeding . What ive seen of wheaton x dogs has impressed me but is it possible to hold the same determination and hardiness whist trying to breed more pace into them ? chris hickling 14 Posted May 23, 2011 Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 i dont believe tyler is kerry cross for one min,i tuck the persons word on his breeding at the time , and if anyone says you can get chocolate coloured kerry crosses again they are first class twats ,and for the dune colour in greyhounds to come out in in this litter both sire and dan would have to have that in there make up ,tyler can run will give him that but hes a 3/4bred so should be ,as for fly she's faster then her brother and a good alround bitch only some one that is jealous could ever try and knock the bitch and they would never want owt out of her pmsl but they have ,all i can say is make the most of it as they will never again why i live get another ,heather yes she's a first cross ,ive had 3 litters out of her ,even now the old girl would put every thing in on a night out ,as for jack i got the dog at 19months old and he never let me down once did the job in front of him every time ,right up to the day i had he pts at 12yrs old and ive never put his breeding down and only ever had 2 litters of pups out of him and both to my own bitches and in all 14pups out of him all which made the grade and that is because the people that had them put the work in front of there dogs to get them there ,yes the blood is right and ive beed lucky in that and the lads what ive got them want them true thank fu ck ,i only breed 4 myself and close friends and thats how i like it ..................................
