shell 42
I went to get some logs with my 21 month old daughter from the log shed last Friday and let all the dogs out onto the yard with me. They all disappeared up into the top barn where next winters wood is stored. Nim, my daughter followed them up and I went to investigate. The terriers disappered under the barn door, so Nim had to go and have a look at what they were doing... The terriers were telling me something was there, both pups were getting stuck in with the adults... Nim was proding about between the gaps in the logs with her walking stick that Malc had made her months ago. (she's seen us do it loads of times!). She was egging the dogs on parroting me by saying 'try ere', and 'et on' (get on)... Then just within reach, there's a rabbit! I grabbed the camera as I needed proof for Malc otherwise he's have thought I was joking! Glory, the Border pup, pulled it out right into the mouths of the other terriers, right in front of Nim who I quickly had to yank out of the way!!! And here it is... the proof for Malc! Poor Nim, she was exhausted and needed a sit down! It was a suicidal rabbit, considering this lot are not above 20 yards away from where we are storing next years logs!!! Good hunting! shell 42
Thanks guys! She's totally obsessed with the dogs. If the front door is open she's off, taking her best mate Tick (the terrier spaniel cross) with her. If the gate is open onto the yard she's away feeding the beagle pups and hounds biscuits! Takes her trusty walking stick everywhere with her! shell Quote Link to post

minion 29
It's really good to see. My daughter is 19 months and loves going up the park and seeing the lurcher run. I hope she decides to come out with me as she gets older. I won't force her but am hoping she will chose to hunt. Quote Link to post
