adamb20 22
Hows that like, fair enuf it might of be3n stupid to let him off before but he didnt do nowt, then i read the comments and always kept him on his lead. Ive walked him through sheep regular since he was fifteen weeks constantly telling him when he paid them any attention. He has been spot on until recently. He was totaly unpredictable, he new he shouldnt go for the sheep but still did, once i pulled him off he was dodgin% me to get back at it. I adored that dog and it was the last thing i wanted to do, at least i didnt sell him on to get money back, and he was far to game to be in a pet home. After yesterday there was no way i was gona get it out of him. I feel i have done the right thing. Link to post

Simoman 110
I was often told "you can't educate pork" and it took me a few years to fully understand..............YOU clearly typed you had let the dog off the lead after the episode blah blah etc etc, who gives a feck....Best of luck with stamp collecting Link to post
BORDERSCOT 3,816
Hey Adam - that's a real shame. You were offered what I would consider pretty sound advice from some obviously knowlegeable folk. And from where I'm sitting it looks like you chose to do your own thing. Pity that! I did hope you would be able to pull it off and that both you and your pup would be able to move on. Shame really!!! Link to post
mushroom 12,883
un-fuckking-believable it's totally your fault adam I've worked bloody hard to stock break my dog and I failed to do a proper job as trev picked up a chicken a few weeks ago was this his fault?????? NO it was mine he just did what came naturally.... HUNT luckily he's soft mouthed and just returned with. I know he's broken to cattle sheep horses etc will I ever trust him around poultry?? not a sniff I will. He'll always be on the lead around them from then on. you I wouldn't trust with an ant farm let alone a very powerful predator. do yourself a favour learn from this mistake if you want to get into running dogs find someone willing to teach you go out without a dog and LISTEN to them stop thinking you know better as you obviously don't!!!
