Strange or normal?

This timber I have is cut about 2 months and tonight while stacking it away I noticed this new growth.Is this a normal thing or have I a supernatural pile of logs :laugh:

next question,what exactly is this.I expect its eggs of some insect but not sure which

I think they might be earwig eggs

to the right a wood louse can be seen in the photo,hed want to have some size of an arsehole to push them through :laugh:

Tom you could be right,there are loads of earwigs amongst the timber.Its amazing the birds that hunt amongst the stack for grubs and such.Great addition to any garden the timber is,lol.

That could be a baby wood louse :laugh: .Eggs dont come out of ass :icon_redface:

I dont think they are earwig eggs, as they are in a sort of toad spawn string, maybe a bigger beetles eggs ?

 

Woods normal, if cut late winter, theres enough sap in the wood for the buds to grow come spring.

If I leave them covered and check them regurlar might I see them develope into whatever they are?I could adopt one then and call it SPOT and I could have afriend for life :toast:
