Ideation 8,216
Same mate, i bet they thought it was handy thing to develop, but i lost mine within a week or two, and was using the box anyway. Never really saw the point as the locator box is always in my pocket anyway, and i only turn em on at the start of the day and off at the end. Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,484
My mate who has the magnetic collars reckons they play up if switched on/off with the box and work better if done with they keyring thing?? The older mk3 boxes that don't say they have a magnet in them do have a magnet that can be used to switch collars on and off the same way so did they rush it out (like the crap mk2) knowing they were gonna bring out the mk3m collars in the future or is the magnet in there to aid the signal or something? My old one was from before they had the pin pointer and that had the magnet in it just didn't have the arrow at the bottom saying that it did have. If you've got one try it and see. Jingo 6
I keep all my gear in a backpack, if forgot to turn one of collars off always have the spare magnet on keys its easier than digging locator out but i did wonder why got it if its built in anyway. Quote Link to post
