chartpolski 23,742
Fair play mate just I don't get why people hate them. Who hates them ?? There are Lurcher lads who won't own them, for the simple reason they aren't the type of dog for the quarry they run, but a bull x is the best at what it does !! It was only a week ago you didn't know what a Lurcher was, but now you know who hates what !! Slow down a bit mate ! Cheers. Quote Link to post

tinytiger 840
a bit like the girl in the rhyme with a curl in the middle of her forehead "when she was good she was very, very good-when she was bad she was horrid" Quote Link to post
old school 537
well now this is only my opinion, but i think that with the right % of greyhound or whippet a bull cross can put up a good as show as any other breed of lurcher at all quarry!! i gave away my bull cross bitch because she didnt do foxes but i rated her highly at everything else i done with her!!! maybe i'm just easily pleased Quote Link to post

Dan Edwards 1,134
i dont think that a lot people dislike the dogs i think it's hardman image that SOME bull x owners give off The thing is there are imitators in all walks of life........not just in the bulldog world. If it walks like a duck and acts like a duck, it's probably a f****n duck. Quote Link to post
rolysmate 49
Each to there own mate, not a bull fan myself but there are plenty of folk out there who dont like saluki crosses, collie crosses, bedlington crosses etc. You could start a thread on any of the above saying why do folk hate xxxxxx and why do they slag them off Quote Link to post

bird 9,927
there are bred for tenacity, strength, agilty, and not bad grey matter. Pre Ban if your quarry bite back, these were+ are the lurcher for that job. And if thats (not) what you not into, well you aint going to like or want a bullx. They are not a new x , they were around 70s and before. Ive seen alot of differnt xs, over the years take most quarry. But i never seen anything better as fox dog than a (well bred) bullx, and even if just for rabbits a drop of bull blood in any lurcher, will give you 100% trier to fill that bag. Ive had colliexgreys got one now Bryn, great rabbit dog so were my other colliexs. And i ve had bullxs before all good dogs ,got Tod 3/8 bull 5/8 grey with bit of luck should be ok .Ive always said get the right dog for the job.!!
