Be great to knock them off their perch stan but I don't think Liverpool are quite Champions material...........yet. FFS johnnyboy dont say that :censored: since he returned we have gained the most points in the league mate all without gerrard and that spanish cnut who used to play for us its nothing to do with how many players we got just they werent happy under turkey neck woy and rafa!!! man management is key to any squad look at maxi shit under rafa, even worse under woy, 7 goals in his last 3 games under the king :toast: few good signings in the summer, clear out the shit and get gerrard back fully fit and we will be in the best position we have been in for many a season Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Liverpool were lucky to have him as a great player and great manager(pre Hillsborough)and hopefully those days can return baw. What Dalglish as shown is a belief in youngsters(home grown)like Flanagan,Kelly,Spearing,Robinson and Shelvey and these lads have stepped up.Thats the Dalglish factor imo he's given the team a morale boost and put some pride back into playing for Liverpool again.........a inspirational character! I agree with you mate, turned your team around. I think players get off lightly though. A good player should be able to play no matter who is the manager. I think its more a case of a good manager will just get that little bit extra from a player that can and often does make a difference.....at the highest level in any sport actual ability is all very similar you wont get bad footballers playing at the highest level of the game,sure they will have bad days but they didnt get to the top of their profession by being bad footballers.A good manager will get all the little details right that can make a difference,i think the character and personaility of a manager can be important as well....i remember some of the Spurs players saying when Harry Redknapp first went there his personality and general manner just lifted the players a notch,they wanted to win with and for him.Motivation shouldnt be a factor at top level sport,but i can fully imagine when someone comes into a club who has the auru and reputation of Dalglish,it can lift already good footballers to another level.I think its really exciting times for Liverpool fansi hope they do well. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Its a realistic goal to be challenging for a Champions League spot next season though I think a lot will come down to who we sign in the close season. Its easy to get carried away with our recent form but you can't deny we're playing some good football at the moment........we need to be more consistant next season. YNWA. i hear you mate and of course its not going to happen overnight i no what you mean tho but if we hit the beginning of next season like we have finished this one we will be right up there mate!! have your read gerrards or carras autobiography mate??? both say that as soon as houllier came in the first thing he did was change everything to "his" way and he failed to be a major success, then rafa comes in and again everything changes to "his" way and again failed!!! yes im grateful for the trophys both won while in the hotseat but f**k me some of the football was boring as f**k sometimes and i dont care what either of them say there main target was to well in europe before the league :thumbdown: hodgson came in and to be fair to him he knew what had to be done to get us back on track all the talk of stabilizing the club, working hard with the new owners, saying how a great club like us should be challenging for the one thing that really matters (the league) and that anything else is a bonus made me think that he probably could do a good job for us but then he signs poulsen and konchesky, gets us in the bottom three and moans about the "famous liverpool support not being there" we all soon realised then that this man wasnt one of us and sat up there waiting in the wings was kenny and probably the only man alive whos way was liverpools way and why the f**k he never got in earlier i dont know but now he is in and the clubs flying once again, we have beat united, chelsea and city with ease and bar the west brom away game (ironically managed by hodgson ) and probably the newcastle away game some of the football has been straight out the top drawer but the biggest thing he has done if you ask me is making the whole club one again the fans have got who we wanted, the players have finally got the manager they needed, now this deal is tied up the owners have got the manager they wanted and kenny has got the job he wanted!!!! everyone is on a winner and it really is the most exciting time to be a liverpool fan in the last 15 years others came in and tried to change something that wasnt broken and we all know how that saying goes and they broke it even more than ever needed in the long run but kenny has took us back to basics , back to the liverpool way that he won so much under as player, back to the liverpool he had the team playing as a manager, back to how it should be i can only see good times mate ydych chi byth yn cerdded yn unig Quote Link to post Share on other sites
