reynardhunter 3
A vixen has taken up residence in my garden! i found her den in a cluster of trees about 30 feet from my bedroom window, i have seen her on several occasions in and around the garden, i saw her this morning at 8am in the field behind the house, i could have shot her several times or slipped the dogs on her, but for some reason i cant, or dont want to, i enjoy watching the antics of foxes especially with cubs which she might already have, i,m not sure but she looks pretty heavy, now the thing is i have chickens at the other side of the house which she no doubt by now knows about, so far i have not lost any, bar the two my own dogs killed, b######ds! my dogs, two lurchers a spaniel and a terrier are kept in two pens on either side of the henhouse, so the vixen would have to pass the dogs to get to the hens, maybe thats why she hasnt tried yet, anyway i,m on two minds at this stage wether to dig her out or wait it out and see how things go maybe all my hens will be slaughtered some night who knows or maybe i can have a fair crack at her and the cubs when their older with the dogs, anyway my mates think i,m f####in mad and should commence digging has anyone had this problem and if so what did you do? dabigmc 23
I second that, leave her be and enjoy watching her! strange things happen sometimes for strange reasons, why? no-one knows....but they dont happen that often....so if you are getting enjoyment from watching her and you feel you dont want to disturb her, then dont! Follow your gut! Quote Link to post
