hairybull 3
'82 HJ60 Landcruiser (bit rough though very reliable) and '05 Nissan Navara dualcab with a tray (not wellbody) after market as there is less to dent while hammering through the bush. Find the Landcruiser heaps better in hilly areas as the Navara seems to be geared a lot higher and you have to ride the clutch a bit of take off quicker than you like. Still have a bit more testing to do- I haven't had it long.
MIKE 18
Now that so many folk have mentioned the tyre's and fuel consumption it has got me thinking.. ..Since i changed my tyre's to 50/50's i seem to be going to the garage a little more often than i used to with the road tyre's on.. .. Millet They are guaranteed to affect your mpg I found out the hard way like most, they look the bollocks on the truck's though but to compensate for that I fitted a set of 18"alloys so there is more wheel on show

lucky 578
always had subaru legacys, but the last year or so i've used the following: shogun 2.5 td very good off road, but a bit slow and a bit warm on diesel. discovery 200 tdi very comfy, plenty of room and good on diesel, but a little heavy (2 ton). nissan patrol 2.8 td very slow, red hot on diesel, and pretty hard to get bits for. daihatsu fourtrack 2.8 td intercooler go like rockets, not brilliant on fuel, and a bit bouncy, very strong engines though. nissan terrano 2.7 td absolute shite. imo any 4x4 is only as good as the tyres its got on, i use greenway macho's and bronco grizzly claws

You must give them some serious hammer? they get a lot of stick (harsh driving in 1 st, 2 nd, and sometimes 3 rd gear) i use them for lamping (driving fields) so they get battered in no time. the gearbox started going on the shogun, the discovery got wrote off, the clutch has burnt out on the patrol, i did'nt have the terrano a day, and i'm using another fourtrak at the moment. its like a 4x4 breakers here at the moment lol...thank god the seasons over, i'm sick of swapping the insurance over

Simoman 110
I've got one for work socks but I can't get on with the driving position, there is no room for your right arm........I have more faith in the off road ability of the landy compared to my Navara but find it much better to drive.
