minion 29
At the moment I have a citoren zara picaso mpv. It is a fantastic family car and I can fold the rear seats forward so it's like a van in the back. It's a 2.0 Hdi and I get 45 mpg which is not bad. It's not a sports car but it can move a bit. It's got plenty little cubbie holes too and I know from experiance that you can fit "big" rabbits in them and you wouldn't know they were there, which would be handy if your hunting something you shouldn't be. The only problem is that they don't hold there value very well. I paid £14,500 for it new three years ago and you'd be lucky to get a couple of grand trade in now. I've done 94000 miles and it's had no problems. Would defenatly recomend them but not new. I hope to get a 4 x4 but i do over 30000 miles a year so i will more than likely pick up a old 4 x 4 and just use it for the dogs. I fancy a bit of greenlaning too. mavphill 0
ive had a crewcab hilux for 18month and i think it ok, was getting 30mpg on a regular basis and on a good run 33mpg, but without a diff lock i find them crap off road. so last week i fitted a set of GREENWAY MACHO tyres- 30x9.3x15 and now the fecker will go anywhere, last saturday i tried all day to get it stuck and i couldnt, but thats maybe an advert for the greenway tyres rather than the hilux, heres a pic these tyres a very noisy on the road, which doesnt bother me but when ifuelled up yesterday the mpg had dropped to 19mpg(which does bother me ) will this just be down to the tyres or will there be another reason take the handbrake off

Ossie 11
"point & laugh" time! my trusty old G-reg Escort, had her for 2 years, have done about 25,000 miles in her, and apart from some welding for the mot's, and a new clutch last year (the first one lasted her from new), she's never needed more than a bit of oil & water. i've only got her stuck once, and that was in the carpark of my local! went to park, tractors had been backwards & forwards over the grass all day, and it was pissing down, got thoroughly stuck. then someone pulled in behind me in a nissan navara, and got stuck too... had to push them out, and then get them to pull my car out! goes all over, dog on the back seat, or if i put the seats down i can get 3 biguns and a couple of terriers in there (all my dads dogs). i've slept in the back of it a fair few times too. looks like a heap, so no one has ever bothered trying to nick it, but she's got electric windows, sunroof, central locking, heated front screen (the wires in the glass can be a bit distracting though, make yer eyes go funny... ), and she drives perfectly. next vehicle will be a transit, as the dog hates being left in the car (if he can see out, he'll bark!). in the summer, this is my preferred mode of transport (only on beaches & big open fields, mind)
