Well, before you get a lurcher pup of your choice, would you want to see the parents work a few times, or just trust the buyer and get the pup anyhow?

Personally, i would like to see both parents work.

But, this can not, allways be possible.

Dont understand why people would go out and buy a pup out off none working parents.

Surely if your buying a pup out off working parents you have a better % record off the pup turning out a good worker then for none workers.

What about first crossers,i.e, Bull x Greyhound,or Deerhound x Greyhound.Majority of their parents arent working dogs but can throw very handy pups. Not starting a argument just putting a point across,

As above in an ideal world it would be best to see both parents working. But unless you know the person who is breeding the litter it is near on impossible to arrange to see them in action. As the Dam could hardly be expected to work so soon after dropping a litter. An the sires owner might not want to take a load of strangers over his permission every time someone said they fancied a pup.

There is lots off working greyhound out there and are not getting used same as deerhounds as stud or a breeding bitch.

If your looking one off this crosses why not get a pup out off one with the same breeding but as had did a few seasons???

i suppose in an ideal world it would be better to see both parents working, i seen both parents of my pup, but, i never seen them working, i seen the lads set-up and other dogs ect, asked him the routine questions and spoke to him a few times over the 2 weeks before picking her up, he seemed a genuine guy and i took his word for it.
