lurchers 2,845
Mate had a good one supposedly going back to Zeb, very hard terrier & touchy with other dogs but never let us down & would hold mid tube. Only ever one hole dug, produced a few decent pups to a Parks bred bitch but produced shite when bred back to 2 GM bred lakeys. Any amount of GM show shite being bred & peddled up Durham way courteousy of a few of the local show ponies thats why i went for different stuff away from around here as they are all releated but a fare few do work them. I was given a Lakey dog bred from that area, carrying Gary's breeding, was used as a show dog for 5 years until i got it,it worked well for me over 2 seasons, could'nt fault its work,a good dog to dig to,unfortunately picked on the lurcher and came second,id happily have another from that breeding, but won't pay the price they are going for now. kirstysdad 827
Kirstysdad, How do they work? Do they bay or predominantly mixers? (In general) when young they tend to be hard but usualy settle down to be bayers but will get stuck in when needed we work them every week so dont need they layed up in kennells to much start of season they all start hard even the old hands but with a bit of work they settle down last litter i bred was 20 months ago kept 2 dogs both have started working well one a bit hard and the other who is is the bigger of the 2 good steady bayer but will take a hold when needed another member who came up to us a few times last year has just had a litter from his own good bitch to the old dog in first picture Quote Link to post
