steve123 29
hi 3 weeks old or poss 4 weeks to start depending on size of litter and how much milk the bitch has, i always start with a teaspoon sized amount of scrapped beef steak , dont forget to worm them at 2 weeks old ,4 weeks old and 6 weeks old and possibly 8 weeks old. i wont let a pup go until the day its 8 weeks old , they can be ready earlier but thats my preferance. beware of cows milk as it can give dogs the squits, at 4 weeks i stick the steak in a liquidiser with a small amount of the dried food and water and whizz it up the dried complete is presoaked at this stage. good luck Quote Link to post

Cold Ethyl 63
4 weeks is usually the most appropriate time just dry food softened with warm water works fine feeding them too early can cause gut problems in later life Quote Link to post
