fry 209
Yes i got both post office receipts, sent recorded delivery. They are truly shocking! well they have done them selves no favours think phantoms advice is the best let ts deal with them. also if you paid with a credit card i.e mastercard ect phone them and tell the story the first thing they will do will be suspend thier account pending investigation. hope you get sorted Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
I'd do what Tony said ASAP! seems to me line they're just messing you round mate so for the inconvenience they caused you I think it's about time you caused them some! Try one last phonecall and "threaten" them with TS action if you dont get any satisfaction. You could maybe tell them that you've posted your experiences with them on here viewed by a LOT of people It may help it may not but anything is worth a try!! Good luck Darryl Quote Link to post
Mrs Mole 74
I've been to the shop in question on a few occasions now, scanning a couple of years, it just a small premise on a side street off the market place in Yarmouth, I have only ever seen one member of staff in the shop, namely Mr Youngman himself, indeed when I called the shop, the phone has only been answered by Youngman, thinking about it now. And there isn't a workshop.. all his servicing and repairs are done by the some RFD we use.. He even told us that he helped to design the BSA S10 & R10.. I'll let draw your own conclusions.. secretagentmole 1,701
Can vouch for what the wife says, little shop, hidden down a side street, damned near impossible to find unless you know the area well! Crofty was yours a plastic stock or wooden stock? Just wondered as our RFD had one in he had basically given a death sentence to (had been well forked by someone "tuning" it)! Not saying you did, but if he sold one to a tinkerer got it back and then resold it, well we shall say no more. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
That is why we never bought another rifle after Edgar from him... Mary tried to buy a BSA multishot Scorpion, in March, paid buy card, went to pick it up to be told it was an error on the website and that the £369 she had paid was for a single shot version. Bloody advert is still the same, even after his sodding website redesign, I do not trust him! We got the money back and came home! If you try to buy this gun he will tell you it is an error on the websote and he will fix it! Does he? Does he hell! Youngmans BSA Scorpion, You cannot buy it! Hells bells, he must have had a few hits on the website, that gun is now correctly defined as being a single shot. Have you got your money back yet Crofty? Quote Link to post
Devonhunter ! 9
Had the same problem myself mate two weeks ago bought a rifle and was no good rung him up and said i wanted a refund he said any refund would have to go through manufacture so said ok would bring it up to him , looked at the sales of good act 1979 witch says your entitled to a full refund if the goods are faulty or you are not happy with them , so rung him up again and told him i had been in touch with trading standards and they had told me that i was entitled to a refund if i didnt get a refund to hand over his details , he still refused but as soon as i walked through the shop door he said he had thought about it and he would give me a refund as he could claim himself through the manufacture , all these dealers do is talk shit mate they think they have you by the bulls untill you mention trading standards , i have used this twice now both with success. secretagentmole 1,701
I dont't go there anymore, I refuse to! If you want another, try Partridge Country Stores, near Spalding, £275 for one, they are also a lot better to deal with! Quote Link to post
