do many people keep there lurchers in a house ?

I keep mine in the house. I have 3 dogs and they don't take up much space and it in no way affects their working ability. It also means I don't have to bother building, maintaining and heating kennels and there is far less chance of my dogs getting stolen.

Had one dog in the house cos of injury, older dog too spends most of his time in the house but goes out at night. Usually kept on kennels but get the run of the place most of the time. Yes, all my dog

Both my lurcher and terrier are in the house, and are pets as well as working dogs, but there are rules, they sleep in the back room, are not allowed on the furniture and never go upstairs, I would not

Mine are all indoors as well no choice in the matter but wouldnt kennel them anyway i like my dogs to be in the house and part of the family. They do what i ask as and when i ask so fairs fair. They were never allowed on the couch but hasnt stopped them lol

My air dale which is a non worker has always been in the house , but now that I have the pup which will be a worker , they go out the garden in the day with access to hall way where the pups bed is while we are in, and in the night they both sleep in side the air dale in the house and the pup out in the hallway. I think as the pup gets more trustworthy and not chewing and shitting she will be aloud more access to the house .

They love it inside , so much so they will stand by the back door if it is raining waiting in the hope they can come in getting soaked rather than take shelter out the garden where they got a 10 foot x 10 foot roof over part of the garden between the shed and back and side wall, and a little enclosed bed area built onto the side of the shed lol thick as shite lol

That area was going to be a kennel space the 10 x 10 roofed area and sleeping bit which is 3 sides all block work tin roof and the compleetly blocked sleeping area with a door all that was missing was the front side where the fencing or mesh needed to go, so when I had the pup I put up a tepery bit but she just cryed the hole time she was out there , next door wasn't to happy so I just let them free out the garden now and in at night
