How much have you paid for a dog?

Recommended Posts

these are the mosti know personally been offered for dogs cns snowy he was offered 20 g for her. she wasnt sold but i know it was genuine cos i was there .. cns casper again 20 g... i was there and same lad offered it. i was offered 15 g for her sister. none of these were sold so just goes to show how high we held these dogs .. i kno wloads of dogs sold for between 5 and 10 g and these were sold.in this game u cant put a price on your dogs if u in it for teh love of it i have never sold a grown dog ever. they either passed onto mates to run or given as pets. teh saying goes if they not good enough for me they not good enough for u. and u cant pay enugh for teh pup u want cos that breeding will last a life time

The first thing that needs to be addressed is the real truth about terriers, money, and quality!!! THE COST OF THE TERRIER DOES NOT A DAMN THING TO DO WITH HUNT DRIVE, LOCATING-FINDING ABILTY, STAYING

No more than £150................ for a bitser lurcher..     A tinney winey bit more for the wifes Pedigree GSD.......

iam not saying everbody has got money .in these hard times.,.but you have on average 17 weeks to save up from when the bitch is lined till you pick the pup up ..thats plenty of time to save a couple

if a man was to pay this kind of money what sort of trial would you think he should look for as in how many days would you want to see the dog run and how many diffrent places would yea need to try him on and what age do yea think he should be i know not to old but what age do yea think he would need to be to be propely tried .i know a bitch that made £64000 from her pups when she was finished running i think that was 5 or 6 litters from her

not a running dog, but I paid the best part of £500 for my cocker as a 7 week old pup. believe it or not she was on the cheaper end of some of the prices I've seen for decently (and even not-so-decently) bred working cockers. :icon_eek: Bit of a shock when you've never had to pay more than £150 to get what you want before, but I don't regret it.

[bANNED TEXT] me and my dad trained greyhounds for racing had a fella pay 10 grand for a racing dog, only for it to break its hock on its first run around the schooling track :wallbash: most i have payed for a dog is 450 and got offered a 1000 for it off the fella i bought it off at 12 month old, still have her though

the most i ever paid for a dog was 250 euro but the best dogs i ever had were given to me

I have in the past paid for dogs, but the last 4 dogs I got (let me say the best 4) I paid a handshake and my word they would be worked.

most good dogs are not sold if someone has to get rid usualy a friend will take them on so we can keep the good stuff around us but 1 thing allways said to a mate when giving them a GOOD DOG is if ye have to get rid give it back
