Simoman 110
Trixie is NOT nippy!!! My serious reply would be why do you want a terrier, are the lurchers working dogs and are they living together in the house, lurchers and terriers are hard work unless you are intending to graft a terrier i would suggest it isnt worth the hassle.... My dog was given to me by a old keeper, you never know you might drop lucky Quote Link to post

BORDERSCOT 3,816
What breed of terrier lives better around lurchers and small children ( non working dogs ) My old Border is 13 and has lived with all our kids - we had a new baby girl 7 months ago and he's great with her. I had his mum and dad and his grandfather and grandmother. All great with our kids, oldest is 18 and as I say youngest is 7 months. However, I'd never ever trust a dog 100% - we've always been careful as the kids can sometimes be rough with them. Having said that - I have had lurchers in the past that would have - and did - killed terriers in a minute. Borders are good with kids - but it's what you know - I'm sure folk'll have great things to say about patts, russells, fells etc??? Good luck. Quote Link to post
