Fatlad54 1
Hi not to sure just hwo to ask this but which pellet weight works best in a pcp, just returning to the air gun scene and getting very confused by some info I have been given regarding the weight of pellet to use in my pcp,at the moment I am using bsa interceptor's at 15.43 grains but I am told that on one hand should go heavier and on the other slightly lighter.I am getting very good accuracy out of them so would the lighter/heavier prove any benefit ? any enlightenment would be most helpfull. SEAN3513 7
what gun are you using ?? anything cica 15 - 16 grain is suitable for a pcp but....make sure you have access to a chronograph...if you are going to change to a heavier pellet as it can affect your power Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
:welcomeani: Ernie, The AAF's are excellent in most guns, I use them and I also use FX pellets, almost identical to AAF's just a touch heavier (.10 of a grain). They were a pound cheaper than the AA's and my grouping was only a matter of a mm or two wider at 35 yards. 20mm groups at 45 yards is excellent Tony 1 Quote Link to post

I have been out and bagged 5 crows (all head shots at 25/30 yrds) so am vey happy at the moment. atb Ernie. 1 Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
I quite like the S16 myself although they did get a poor rep after certain people at Webley (no longer employed there thank goodness) decided to cut costs and rely solely on the name so sell goods. If you have one that (and it sound like you do) does not frequently malfunction its an excellent rifle. Webley are now on the way back up I will eventually get myself an XVI (S16 with its new internals) Excellent work on the Corvids Tony 1 Quote Link to post
craig33 10
all the s16,s i have had or worked on tend to like accupell n aafield but a tad better with accupell you should be ok with them but you never know untill you try em atb craig 1 Quote Link to post
Marksman 934
Give the Daystate Rangemaster Li's a go mate. At £9.20 a tin, They're 14.3gr, deadly accurate and hard hitting. I used to use both AAF & FX pellets but now really favour the Daystate. The best thing you can do is keep trying till you find the ones that suit your barrel. Make sure you clean with a pull through(start at the breech and pull to end of barrel) for every pellet change. Then allow sufficient pellets through to relead it. Then test for accuracy. Bit of a pain in the arse but better done right for the right results Darryl 1 Quote Link to post
