just got my FAC through the post so time to think which gun was looking at

anschutz 1517

marlin 917 vs

ruger m77/17

and the weirauch hw 66 does anybody have any of these and can advise me which is best or differences many thanks

anschuts all the way.sadly i have just got rid of one so i can try the .17 fireball,shame as that would have been a bargain.the build quality is exeptional.i had the thumb hole and fear i will regret getting rid.but you do not know till you try.

got to be anschutz 1517 you get what you pay for if you miss its humane error people say you have to clean them after 10 =20 shots not so (i clean mine when ever )

just keep the moderator clean (sak ) £35 gets realy dirty i blow the crap out with a air line when stripped (moderator) 2mins

dont go spending loads on a moderator it doesnt make any difference hope this helps

the 22 is bang on 50 to 75 yards real bunny basher 1" groups easy very accurate if you miss its humane error not the gun i like the short barrels ideal out of the pickup window

the 17 hmr is unbelievable on a still night little wind (if its windy dont bother ) very good gun for long range shots when crops are comeing through and rabbits are far out ideal for shooting crows long range.heres a link for the 17 hmr
