Any suggestions as to whats wrong? Cheers crofty I've had a similar problem with mine turns out it was a spilt O ring in the gun. Nothing to do with the pump. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Something is loose, check all the connections for tightness and then make sure the bleed screw is done up tight, can use my pump to get to 232 bar no probs! Quote Link to post
crofty_88 27
Does exactly the same with my mates rifle. I will check the connections ect and see what happens. If not is the pump cost much to fix? Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
what make of pump is it ?? have you checked the filters ?? Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Do not know, pumps should last for ages, check the hose as well, make sure that is on tight and has not got any hole in it. Sounds like a loose connection though. Gets up to a certain pressure then does not pressure anymore! Just comes out, does your friends gun use the same quickfill/adaptor? The o rings on those can become worn! Quote Link to post
crofty_88 27
Yes same gun the hatsan at44-10. I will tighten all the connections and try and use it again tonight. Its a gun power 1. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Check the O ring seals, they can go! Trust me, I had an AT44 (the wife sold it to fund her Daystate)! It is either o rings, connections or the whip lead to the pump. It is one of those 3! I had a similar problem with an FX pump! Turned out the whip lead connector where the adaptor screws in had got worn. New whip lead fixed the problem, same problem I could only get to 100 bar! Quote Link to post
crofty_88 27
Re-tightened all connections, gave it a pump! Job done fixed, nice and easy. Thanks everyone who helped me Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Glad it is fixed, a loose connection is cheaper than a new whip line (I was lucky mine was replaced under guarantee, it was secondhand but sold as working through an RFD, Partridges near Holbeach, decent bloke to deal with, he could not have been better to deal with)!
