Country Joe 1,411
The one in the photo I have had it over 20 years, didn't use it all the time, useful when taking a young dog out Lamping, as been said just put the loop over your Wrist and you cant lose it. 1 Quote Link to post

bush wacker 77
how does a slip lead stop a dog from pulling?i think you are on about the blue ones you get from pets at homes Quote Link to post
Cold Ethyl 63
On my lad it does cos its a collar with loop the peice of leather through and hold onto it but because he has a wide neck its tighton him if he pulls he chokes himself so stops pulling and soon realises how to behave.A load of folks we know use the ones your talking about i have a few here for other dogs as i feel theyre harder to get out of than a collar Quote Link to post

bullmastiff 615
I tried Bailer Twine when I first started Lamping. My hand had gone blue from the lack of blood by the time we got back to the car! So got some Kevlar rope from work and spliced it back on itself to form a loop, then whipped the end to stop it fraying, worked a treat! Lost it one night during the excitement so have now swapped to sewing a lorry strap into a loop, then cutting it to length with a heated knife. Done in a few mins and much comfier then rope.
