gudgravel 1
Hi Guys It appears my young lurcher has developed a taste for birds,A few weeks ago he was in the back yard when a starling landed about 10 feet away form him-In a inatant he was on it-Ripped it to bits. Yesterday we were out in the fields,As we climbed over the wall two crows were squabling around in the field about thirty yards from us.The dog set off after them,As they took to the air he did a running jump and nailed one of the crows.Bloody hell i didnt realise he could jump that high. I do however have a problem with the dog,Over the last couple of months he has become very keen with strange dogs,He is fine with my terrier,But a nightmare with any other dogs. What do you guys think?,Maybe a mussle and try and socialise him with other dogs. Cheers. Quote Link to post
Tiny 7 1,694
Love a dog that takes feather to be honest and a good and regular catcher is worth its weight in gold ( Too me anyway )... And being funny with other dogs all you can do is get as much socialiseing as possible with other dogs and just keep correcting him if he steps out of line, How old is he he could just be going throw the dreaded teenage stage.......? gudgravel 1
Hi Guys The dog is one year old. His father was a saluki-greyhound,Mother greyhound collie,Stands 23inch. He was fine with other dogs untill a couple of months ago. He can even be a bit fruity with people he doesnt know.Goes ape shit if any one knocks on the door. At this very moment he is stood on his hind legs and leaning on the work surface wacthing me type on the laptop. He is definately a one man dog. He drives the Wife up the wall-Completely ignores every thing she says-God love him. Probably going through the teenage thing-Just a bit suprised how keen he as become in a very short time. Think i may have to get a mussle and just be patient with him. He will chase anything-fine with stock,But hates strange dogs. It doesnt help when out in the fields and the dick heads with poncy dogs dont put the things on the lead.I stand with him on the lead while there f*****g posh mutts drive him crazy,Twats. How come these idiots walk about with sodding great back packs carrying compasses and so on.They are not in the middle of the desert after all-Just a sodding field.
