magners 107
After the obvious no injury, Fit enough conditioned call it what you want, And if there anit nothing wrong and he's skidded then he's gone but thats just me.... A jackers a jacker at the end of the day, He's taking kennel space up valueable kennel space cost the same to feed a jacker as it does a tryer but what if the dog did not have enough saluki in it two out run a hare and after a hard race and the starts two pull away and after 100 yards stoped Well thats the idiot holding the lead then for over matching his dog.............. There jacking then there jacking if he jacked then he's off, Even if old puss pulled a 100yds id expect his to keep going, You should be able to tell if your dogs had enough or the run before was enough for the rest of the day, If you push ANYTHING over its limit it will put the brakes on thats any animal.... Why you ask anyway......? but tiny the mans dog run for 3to4 mins [bANNED TEXT] the big rabbit run on then his dog stoped 3to4 mins mate dog not fit or Quote Link to post

arcticgun 4,548
if said dog was bred more as an allrounder but pulled up on a good winter brown, but wassound on other game, well id personaly except that, especially if he was pused wih multiple runs,he weren't really bred to take, I would also be taking a good look at my roile in it stopping, Im a right soft arse though Quote Link to post
watchman 256
so can pulling up be put into different catagories,iv had bull xs that could not catch hares but they run out of sight busting a bollock trying, where as a clever dog it seems knows it cant catch one so doesnt waste the energy even trying, does that sound about right 1 Quote Link to post

iceman001979 1,316
No dog should not pick and choose its runs you are the slipper so when you slip the dog should go.A dog that does not is a jacker.Yes a dog could run a hare 3 4 5 mins and then getting out run and slowly pull up as the hare pulls away that not jacking that is just getting beat by the better animal on the day. If your not running a dog not breed for the job then your going get dogs pulling up. Quote Link to post
