mushroom 13,186
I'm not trying to be a dick, but can't you at least chuck the bodies into the woods / hedge, so that something can make use of them, rather than putting them in a plastic bag and then into a bin? Also baby bunnies pan fry nicely with some bacon, mushrooms etc. Hey man I don't fry easily From what i heard mate, i got a a skillet here that would fit you a treat you gotta get me in the pan first Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
When the kits are under 5 inches long along the spine there is less meat on them than a chicken nugget! I was asked to remove all kills from the property, not to lob them in the ditches, I do as I am asked! No photos taken as I left the camera at home and score, well now I have lost count! If you do not want me to post my hunting write ups simply say and I will stop posting! Edited May 7, 2011 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post

Not asking you to stop posting, don't throw a tantrum How hard is it to stop on route home and put them somewhere that they can be used by nature? Just asking? Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
When the route home is right through the village centre, bleeding hard! Not going out of the way to dispose of them. On the second permission the kits get left in the ditches for the stoats or foxes! Just here, location makes it difficult to dispose of them! If Ron had been later he would have had all 6! I don't like wasting them either, but sometimes no choice (no room in freezer and I do not know anybody with a Boa Constrictor either)! Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Fairplay mate, just not that into the idea of shooting anything you got no use for. Sure you'd have something to say if i was catching game with my dog and just leaving it dead in the field. Annnnnnnnnyway. Enjoy your eve! (Do you have any local B.O.P centres or keepers?) secretagentmole 1,701
None close, got an owl centre 20 miles away but they don't collect and I think they breed rats for them! I was asked to shoot all rabbits, no matter how big, the poor woman had to have a horse destroyed last year after something spooked it and it caught it's foot in a damned deep scrape, broke it's leg. When you lose a horse worth thousands of pounds your tolerance to the fluffy cute bunnies evaporates. Which is why I introduced Ron to the permission holder. Another airgun down there will help keep the numbers down and he does have a use for all the rabbits (ferrets). It is not an exclusive permission to me and I do not mind introducing new guns where there is shooting! The place is under severe attack, there are scrapes in the fields, burrows that cross 6 or 7 feet to the paddocks as well! The problem is they have fenced the edges but not made it possible to keep the brambles down. There are warrens under the brambles, and as it is about 200 metres in length, that is a lot of room! Edited to add, by the way rabbits are not game and if your dogs get them, well fair play to the dogs! Keep considering if Algy will fit down the burrows, but I think he would get stuck.... secretagentmole 1,701
If your dogs get game then that is illegal and you are a very naughty boy! Not the messiah! lol. I cannot personally see how you can stop a dog getting ground game! If the dog is quick enough by the time you see what it is doing it could be too late! The damned law was written by townies anyway! What you do with the game after you get it is your own business which I cannot criticise! Like in deep sea fishing, you get a cod that is 2 inches undersize that has been winched up from 300 foot down, it will die, swim bladder gone, no use to anybody as you can't keep it, even though it is good food, has to be thrown back!
