HUnter_zero 58
4X4 daihatsu terios Hi all, after just buying another 4x4 for no other reason than it's bigger ! I'm going to sell my Terios, so here goes : 1999 "T" reg. Snow camouflaged in white (all over). MOT 6 months may be even 7 Tax'ed until Jan 2012 Just hit the 100k on the clock, so it's well below average mileage Hand on heart, there is only two known faults, a pin hole in the exhaust which I know is there even thought the exhaust guy keeps telling me it's not! When I had the timing belt done, the guy didn't tighten up one rocker box bolt, so there was a small leak, I've tightened it, now but was told once the oil gets under the gasket it needs changing. That's it!! I would drive around the world in the little truck. Full service history, new rear exhaust, all tyres are spot on. Couple of age related marks but nothing bad. Never been crashed!! Near been seriously off road. I do drive over stubble with the deeks and pick up the odd deer in the middle of a field. 4x4 works, diff-lock works, all electrics work. warm and dry!! Tax is just £120 per year Good few on selling between £800 and £2000 £950 ONO John

chimp 299
hi , what mpg are you getting out of it ?
HUnter_zero 58
hi , what mpg are you getting out of it ? To be 101% honest I depends how you drive the car. It's constant 4x4 and petrol, so between 25 & 35 MPG depending on the time of year and driving style. It's more of a town/urban 4x4 than a motorway 4x4. 70MPH will give 25 MPG, 60 and it's up to 35MPG if you see what I mean. I'll be putting it on e.Bay as soon as I have time, so if your interested let me know and I'll send you a link. Just not had time at the moment. John

HUnter_zero 58
Hi Buddy, they do have permanent 4x4, but have electronically switchable diff lock. Tyres last forever on them. Since owning the Terios, I had to put two full sets of tyres on. No because of tyre ware, but because the first set lasted so long the tyre walls started to perish. Tax is going to be a sore subject. I have owned the Terios for five/six years (?)and as you say £125 road tax is great. I purchased a Frontera which I need to tax today, £200 + gutted. Not that it matters but I should have added that it's got two brand new calipers, new CV gaiter and new back box. I'd say that's the best part of £500 with the cost of the garage.
