Born Hunter 17,763
First cross collie grey to a first cross wheaton grey, 24"tts 50lb These are pics from the end of last summer. Hell of a lot of prey drive! Good nose. Quite independant/stuborn and always pushing boundaries. Only had a seasons light work on soft quarry, this september will be her making or breaking. Born Hunter 17,763
she looks real nice lad my lad turned out rough coated dough.but she looks a beauty wat age u hav her on rabits my lad 11 months but very pupiesh yet She was a late starter as she was born May 2009, so I wasnt able to start her untill August 2010 (about 15 months old). She would have deffinately benefitted from work at a much younger age though. At 4 months old she bumped into a myxi rabbit and killed it and unfortunately discovered hares straight after. So from 4 months old she was hunting as hard as she could, which wasnt ideal or a good thing imo. Failing to catch meant f**k all to this bitch even from 4 months old, just made her more determined to get the bugger next time. Ive learnt alot from this bitch, I love her prey drive but in the future I would bring on a pup with such drive very differently. When I started her ferreting she was a nightmare because all she wanted to do was find rabbits and hares and had no patience! End of the season I started her ferreting again and she was a different dog, still keeping an eye on the horizon for those long eared fellas mind you. I have high hopes for her next season with the ferrets. She really started to come on in January and February and I feel if I throw alot of work at her this season she will really benefit. As I have said before, shes a stubborn awkward f****r but with maturity shes getting alot better. I hope she proves me right. Atb best with your pup! Quote Link to post
