bullxgrey vs. whipxgrey

Recommended Posts

For those of yall that have owned one or some of each cross, give me your thoughts on how they compare to each other.

I currently own and work one of each.

Between my two there is no comparison - the smaller whip/grey is faster off the mark and over distance, smarter, alot more stamina, hasn't had as many injuries as the bull x.

I would say they are on a par in terms of "heart" They;ve both worked things with teeth (preban) and again the whip/grey was better.

I've bred my whip/grey and kept a pup - I'd never breed my bull x - there are top bull x's out there, mines just not one of them.

BTW the whip.grey is 7 and the bull x is 3 and the whip/grey still gives its all.

Had a Whip/Grey 20 years ago that was shown plenty of game with being young and keen and very little restriction to hunt. She was never found wanting on anything granted she wasn't as powerful as a bull/grey but still got the job done, plenty of speed and a desire to catch that you only see in them special dogs.

putting a whippet/grey over your bull x can only add speed an agility mate, they might throw 1 or 2 pups that favour the bull x side but thats where the beauty of having the pick of the litter comes into play, dont rush into it an pick the first whippet/grey you see though, theres plenty out there so find one that will suit you and more importantly one that would suit your bull x, happy hunting mate

ov course it would'' but i am not saying all pups will turn out pacey n agile' depends how sire n dame r breed' that uv got' we have two brothers here same way breed' but one is faster off off the mark n up to his stuff' quicker than the outher' but he is more racier than the outher' like i say depends how ur breeding um' n what percentige ov whats' in them..
