Alex Arrigone 24
hey , well after watching FESTA's video on making home made ghillie suits and an easy week at work, i decided to give it a shot myself. i cut up a load of old DPM and MTP combats and knotted them onto a boiler suit. i then got some SCRIM netting aswell as green mosquito dome netting, and sandbags and added them on for a disrupted effect. i then got a riot under-helmet balacaver and did the same to that. thisd is the finished look. hope you like it : many thanks to the army clothing store for the supplies and thanks to the sniper boys back at camp for tips and tricks of the trade TOTAL COST - £0.00 atb alex Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Hi Alex. That looks really great mate. Given that the terrain we mostly hunt over is grasses and nettles against the darks, browns and greens of hedgerows this should work really effectively. You can add in more scrim net, coarse garden twines, sandbag sacking strips and finer, thinner strips of old cammo cloth for contrasts. Always look for where any part of your suit can still show a man's outline and break it further with contrasting materials. You can go on forever with a Ghyllie suit like this. I love em. Nice one mate. Simon Quote Link to post
