a very open topic. any info on backhoe loaders would be appreciated from fellas that use them regularly. ie your opinions on best makes models.

 

for general farm/site/contracting use. have only ever used a jcb 3cx.

You only needed to ask fanny head!.....I have a license to drive nearly every machine they make and have spent a good few hours in my time.

 

The JCB was the best of the bunch imho, with smooth controls which made working with it very easy, did not like the CATS or on more farm type vehicles the added back hoe attachments....the controls seemed a lot more "jerky"....it would improve after a while at the controls but still not as easy to work with as the JCB imho.

 

Most 360 machines seemed to be as good as each other with regards to ease of use no matter what the make and the rubber wheeled 360s are ok on tarmac etc, but watch on muddy ground especially if there is a gradient as when you get "on the slide" it can be emmotional!! :laugh:
