Best one was white rabbit jefferson airplane GRACE SLICK the hippie godess what a girl. I heard her on the IoW 1970 same year as Jimi and Janis. Coming out of a 1000 mike Orange Sunshine trip, heard "Come the revolution you'll be up against the wall you MUTHA FUKKERS" 600.000 watts. Freaky!
Neal 1,874
Completely agree with Comanche. Just because some songs, paintings, sculptures etc have a particular meaning, as intended by the artist, it doesn't necessarily mean that all do. That's the beauty of art; you can make it whatever you want and add or take what you want. One obvious example would be a landscape painting where the artist leaves out the pylons or makes one section of hedge taller. I think Paul McCartney's lyrics are another good example of this. ie he just puts things together which sound good (good being a massive understatement). Some people will tell you "Jet" is all about John whereas others say it's about Paul's labrador and I've heard him say in an interview that "...the movement you need is on your shoulder..." was another lyric which just sounded right but didn't necessarily have any hidden meaning.
