STUNTMAN 552
If you guys ever had the pig bomb go off like we have here and in Oz. Those goverment officials would be passing laws so fast it make your head spin. I assume they would be hunted like they are through the rest of eroupe with flushing to a line of shooters. Hey keep your fingers crossed mabey some will get out by accident some where lol. BTW -That hog was trailed bayed and shot while we were on mules over about 4 miles of running. With that bear it had whipped the dogs off twice till I got there than it chased me some finally the dogs got a little braver or she got fed up. She was very pissed off as she had two cubs with her. liam mc 18
f**k me this is getting hard work. It isn't any different to collies. What i wanted to know is where that stands legally. I wasn't talking about importing pups to do it or anything. If i was going to do it i would be using welsh hill collies. Idont mean to be rude but your starting to sound stupid best to let it go mate, Alright genius, how am i starting to sound stupid? It's a simple question. Hunting with dogs here = ILLEGAL. Flushing with 2 to the gun = NOT ILLEGAL. So, all i'm asking is where does 'baying to the gun' come - Illegal or not. NOW HOW THE f**k IS THAT STUPID SMART ASS??? OK you started asking bout Cur lines, then stated you would love to see them work ,ok so far, then started asking bout legality of hunting with hounds, which you should know as you implied you hunt, then when someone mentioned collies you said that you would hunt with collies IMO starting to sound stupid, I dont get into slagging matches on line as its easy to mouth off behind a keyboard but you asked Quote Link to post

I did not realize there were rules as to what could or could not be discussed in any one topic. Started asking about curs as thats what SM posted and they are interesting, i'd love to see them work. Then, went on, after the video, to have a separate discussion about using baying dogs here. Yes i know that hunting with dogs is illegal, but flushing with 2 or less is not. Baying with a pack i.e stag hounds is illegal, but where does baying with two or less stand with the law? The above is a fairly sensible question, in my opinion. Then you started to chat about Am Bulls and stags for hunting, which is fine, but i was not talking about trying to make a catch dog, plenty of lurchers will do this. Then stevemac put in that in oz/nz a lot of folk use herding / heeler dogs to bay boars, without getting stuck into them, i agreed and said that i was thinking that perhaps a pair of decent hill collies might have the agility, balls and natural instinct to bay a pig in one place, without going in to hold it. Ya get me? Simple question was, i can flush a boar with 2 dogs or less and shoot it as it runs, but can i use two or less dogs to bay a boar in one spot where i then shoot it? I cannot find anything about 'baying' in the legislation, hence why i am asking here as we are discussing baying dogs. I don't intend a slagging match, just i take offense to being called stupid when someone appears unable to grasp what i am trying to ask. Atb mate, Quote Link to post
Stanleigh 135
If the term ..baying .. isn,t in the legislation , then I think your best bet would be to argue that the baying and flushing are synonomous , but it would probably have to be proved in a test case before I,d chance it . Atb mate, cant see the difference myself some hogs will run there for they are being driven or flushed to the gun some will want to stand at bay with his arse in a hollow and fight the dogs either way he gets shot. Dont surpose hogs have read the rules. i guess your requirement would be to have the guns there. Quote Link to post
STUNTMAN 552
Sire of the pups today with the neighbors bull. Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Interesting that mate, is he used to work cattle normally and if so how? Herding or baying individuals? Or is that just a 'testing ground' to see if he can stop a big beast? Quote Link to post
STUNTMAN 552
IDE- No not at all. I had him around all kinds of livestock he never paid any mind even in OK. while hog hunting. I moved out here and blam he is likeing the cows. This is my neighbor's bull that busted out today and was wrecking fences and making himself a pain in the ass. I collard him up and said "get him" and he did. I had a pit there to and she in the end was getting it to lol. You could 1/2 ass work cows with this dog I think no problem. _Stunt Quote Link to post
