what the hell could be wrong with it

Recommended Posts

I think your worrying too much about it . Just get out and have some fun , check it in a month . Honestly , once you`ve been out you`ll forget about it . Its always the same when you fettle a bit , im just as bad believe me

if i remember correctly i think the fps varied by about 11 fps from lowest to highest , it used to be no more than 6,i cleaned and regreased it all tonight so i dont think that would be the problem as it was doing it before i stripped it. im thimking it could be the spring sleeve that comes with the tuning kit maybe causing a prob , dont know why ,just cant think what else it could be :wallbash:

Sneeky1 has a point about excessive lubes internally. How old is the V-mach spring now? I'm wondering what sort of shape it's in with this level of variation in the spread. It could have been defective, right off the bat. Or it could be the breach seal is on the way out. (Aren't these replaced in the kit?)

No! you should rightfully expect better performance of a spring rifle Pedro. Especially one as good as this.

i replaced the breech seal yesterday and the v-mach tuing kit is only 6months old ,would strip down and total degrease and clean and regrease make any differance and could the spring guide be fouling somewhere as its very thin alloy and been in and out a few times now whilst i try to fix this , what should i expect from this springer as i know it should be better than what im getting , i just want a 11.5ft/lbs consistant rifle that i can hunt with , i dont feel confident the way it is now for hunting.

pedro.....dont worry about it anything over 10ft/lbs is fine for hunting.

stop stripping it and greasing it..........go shoot !!!!

i would say the consistency is fine....it will always vary and you will never have two shots the same back to back.

accuracy is the impotant factor
