not wanting to start any arguments but how come everybody says get yourself a patterdale, now we all know that theres just as many if not more shite patterdales about as any other terrier, a lot of the shite is being bred because a lot of clowns think if the dogs black it will dig foxes.

i've seen some decent patterdales and i've seen some russels equally as good but i've only seen one plummer being dug to years ago 12 foot to strong quarry, maybe a one off ?

imo nobody seriously buys a plummer with digging in mind, if i wanted a pup that was going to be used for digging i would go to someone who i new was doing a lot of digging with the parents, dogs that were getting tested regular, and i would'nt give a shit what breed it was ;)

You've had a pm to sort how to post pics lets see them, I've only ever seen plummers on here and a few other sites and I've only ever seen 1 thread where a plummer was used for digging. I don't doubt they're out there it's just I've only seen pics of 1. I've never seen 1 in the flesh either.

I've seen an excellent Plummer/Russell work, self-entered to strong quarry when she slipped the leash at seven or so months.; nearest I've seen. Irrespective of what Plummer sycophants say the great man was obsessed with rat hunting and that's what they were bred for. Nobody buys a Plummer for serious earthwork.

I know it is a old topic but it takes a long time to scroll through the site pages and I tend to randomly enter a page number, he wasnt your mate you bought the dog off, mates do not charge for pups or adult terriers, eh is an aquaintance

Wish you luck with your terriers
